Recently I have been seeing quite a few posts on MyFitnessPal about individuals being down on not seeing progress in their fitness goals. MyFitnessPal is a popular website and mobile app that tracks your exercise and calorie intake.
Achieving your desired goals is no easy task, regardless of your experience. Failure should not define your progress, but merely motivate you to push/work harder, or even possibly taking a different approach.
Keep this in mind:
Michael Jordan is one of the most accomplished professional athletes of all time. I personally believe he’s the greatest NBA player of all time. In his 15 years as a professional NBA player, Jordan attempted 24,537 shots, of those he missed 12,345. That’s 50% of his shots that he missed. However no one has ever judged him based off his missed shots. He never gave up and just worked harder. MJ knew that missing a shot gave him the opportunity to make it up with a made shot. Keep that in mind the next time you feel you are not getting anywhere. Even the best can’t be perfect, but it can motivate you to push yourself to be the best that you can be. Much more can be taken from Michael Jordan’s career. What do you take from his career?
